Removal of Inactive Streaming Boxes from the Device Management Profile

How do you remove inactive streaming boxes that show up on your account? I bought one on eBay that would not update and returned it and one 5.00 a month box that I returned to ATT DIRECTV unopened. But now they still show up on my account as devices 1 and device 4.  It just bothers me to see them there. Do they automatically disappear in time? I called DIRECTV but they told me they couldn't remove them at this time. Maybe it's too soon and maybe a billing cycle has got to go by. Has anyone had an any experience with this?

I don't think that there is any way to remove them it would be nice if they were removed automatically if they were returned to Directv but I guess they don't!  Just make sure you keep for your records your return receipt and write down your current box serial numbers so you know which ones you are currently using!
