refused refund
I had cancelled through a chat session and was told I was "all set" and wouldnt be charged anymore. I was charged again on Jan 14 2023. I did another chat which took way to long just to be told to call another number. So I called the billing number I assume it was. I was told by Misty that they didn't get anything that I had previously cancelled and said because we have been using the service couldnt get a refund. I told her we were not using it as we already have a different and cheaper provider and it was supposed to be cancelled. She then said someone from Lynn was logging in and watching?? I said I dont live in Lynn so there was the proof someone hacked into my account and was watching. Misty said thats not enough proof that someone is hacking and even if they were not our problem. Really great customer service! I called my bank and had a stop put on the Direct Tv payment but they said it takes 3 days and the payment will still through and that Direct TV should issue a refund for this. I will tell everyone I know about their practices and I will never become a customer of theirs again. They are definitely a shady corporation. They let hackers in your account and charge you for it.

You have to call DTV 1-800-531-5000 to cancel and DTV no longer prorates the final bill so you pay for and receive service until the end of your billing cycle. DTV has no way to know if you are using the service or not or even if the receivers are connected to the dish.

They did know who was using the service and they knew the city so you don't seem knowledgeable.

You don't have to "log in" to use the service so what service do you actually have? Satellite or streaming? Directv CAN NOT see who's using the service or where they're located.
