Potential fraud

I am talking to someone right now who is asking me to sign up for some sort of streaming service DirecTV yet when I gave her my social security number I gave her the wrong number intentionally and she still was able to pull up and outstanding balance of mine from the past and I don't know if it's an accurate balance or not but I gave her the wrong social security number do you think she is actually an employee or is she trying to scam me

The invalid SSN you gave may have been a real SSN for someone who actually owe someone money, right?

Yeah but that's a (Edited per community guidelines) of a coincidence that someone owes money to them and their s.s. number is one digit off lol

I'm not saying the call was legit.  If you are worried, hang up. Respect your instincts.
