No answer in chat

I am trying to find out why I have unlimited hours now in my streaming package - I did NOT make this change.

I tried to ask my question in chat, but I just getting preprogrammed responses to choose a subject and no matter what department I tried - I only received bot messages.

How do I reach out to customer support?

@iamdebbie1978

Actually the DirecTV Support number is 1-800-531-5000. The number you provided is AT&T Support.

@benecia1111 According customers on reddit---existing customers are being upgraded to Unlimited for free.

Bet not grandfathered accounts! I have never had any free upgrades.

@bcbsncjlj Yah that post on reddit started with a guy who was grandfathered. I would post a screenshot but this forum hasn't allowed pic uploads for a couple of weeks ...so I will copy and paste

"I was just converted to Unlimited DVR today. I had been told I was ineligible to be converted from 20 hours to Unlimited, but it switched for me today. I am glad I waited, since I would have lost my grandfathered HBO streams, if I would have cancelled. The CSR told me to wait until the end of the month since everyone will have it and he was right."

I think the post said that people are going to be upgraded/converted when their billing cycle ends

Can't imagine that they would offer the upgrade to original grandfathered subscribers who are already locked into a substantial discount compared to other subscribers. I would be ticked!

Again, here is the post. I saw the OP on this post say he got upgraded without being asked then I saw the one on reddit . OP @benecia1111  never said if he was also being charged for in the 1st post here

I have read them on Reddit. What some do not know is that they are different levels of grandfathered account over the years. Mine was originated prior to the service being released in 2016.
