nexstar agreement

Will I receive a credit on my bill for the unavailable Nexstar stations?  I assume no fees are being paid to Nexstar during this disagreement.

We are all users, just like you, and none of us have an answer for that. You would have to contact DirecTV for an answer to that question.

If you call DirecTV you might get a one-time credit as a courtesy. There is no obligation of one as channels and their programming are subject to change at any time.

As long as you are receiving at least one local station, the monthly bill remains the same. This is because access to locals in general is flat rated into the package for all customers, they are not itemized by where you live or how many locals you individually receive. Having 1, 2, or 20 locals and the price is the same for each customer.

It makes sense that DirecTV would only have paid, or is paying, for the time covered under the prior carriage agreement and not for days after since Nexstar pulled the feed away. Any price increase that Nexstar succeeds in would factor into the next annual price adjustment. I would expect any funds not being paid out are being budgeted towards the next price adjustment or to go to anything they would need to pay Nexstar once an agreement is reached. That is just what is logical for me as I have no personal knowledge of how DirecTV handles the finances of that situation since it is private info not available to any consumer.
