Missing HBO all of a sudden
(Edited per community guidelines)o, I'm confused what is happening. I noticed my recording of Bill Maher did not work tonight when I tried to watch it on my DVR and it said now I need to subscribe to it? I also realized when I went to my HBO channels alphabetically in my guide, there is no HBO, HBO East, Comedy, West, etc! It's all gone, which is completely random considering I watched Batman on HBO 2 weeks ago and Bad Boys last week. Can you help me understand what is going on? I need my HBO channels. I did not make any changes to my account, I've had DirecTV Stream since it was DirecTV Now and i just logged online and it says my plan is "Gotta Have It" but shows Starz, HBO etc, but I cant see it anymore on the new lineup (apparently I'm grandfathered). Anyway I dont care about that, I just need my HBO - please tell me what the (Edited per community guidelines) is going on.

Sounds like getting free HBO with your grandfathered plan ended. I've seen some people on reddit comment on this as well. Those posts also said you should still have access to the MAX app.

Your exactly right Ludwick577- I missed an email that said since they are ending the AT&T Max replication to DirecTV. I can access HBO with the Max app now which is a bit annoying as I preferred to have HBO channels part of DirecTV channel guide, but to add HBO back it looks like I have to change my entire plan which is insanely more expensive. I'm just going to keep my grandfathered plan and leverage the Max app, I guess. Thanks for the assistance- I checked Reddit and other people were annoyed too.

The Max app also has live channels. If you scroll down on the main page it's under "channels"
