Max app provider login not working

Max app suddenly not working with DirecTV stream provider login ! Tech support supposedly working on it but it’s been 2 days out so far. Anyone else experiencing this?

Ok. Finally figured it out. You now have to create a Max account. And then connect the provider subscription to that account. It required me to:

  • Create a new account 
  • Goes back to the start but now sign in (don’t connect to provider)
  • sign in to new account created
  • will require a password reset
  • after all that sign in to max with the new account and reset password 
  • then….connect provider account

Hi, @ustrademark. We're sorry your DIRECTV STREAM login is not working on the MAX app. The issue has been resolved. Have you tried to sign in on the MAX website or uninstall and reinstall the app?

Still not working. When I try to login now it takes me to this screen. If I fill it out it just takes me back to the start.

I was having this same problem. Here’s what I did and how it finally got fixed:

1. Talked to Max support who told me to contact DirecTV for help.

2. Talked to DirecTV support who initially told me it was a known issue on the Max side 🙄

3. I pressed the DirecTV agent and told them that the issue was not just with Max, that I now couldn’t sign in to my DirecTV account on any browser or device. I was getting an error page every time suggesting I connect to WiFi (which I already was).

4. DirecTV agent suggested I turn off WiFi and try connecting with mobile data. This worked and I was able to login to my DirecTV account.

5. The agent told me Max was working on the login issue but I figured I’d try again on mobile data and it worked. I still had to enter my details on the Create account page but once I did, it sent me a verification code for my existing account and I got in (previously at this stage it was threatening that I’d be billed twice if I created a new account).

TL;DR - turn off WiFi and try connecting your provider while on mobile web.
