Local Streaming Channels

I have a DirecTV Stream account and when I am at home, the locals are correct. However, if I login to my account at my Grandma's house which has different locals, those locals do not show up, just my home locals.  Location Services are on and I use an Apple TV. Any ideas why I don't get the correct locals when traveling??

You've figured out it's all about "location services". I'm not sure how Apple TV devices handle location services. When we travel our iPads/iPhones receive the locals at your travel location, while our Roku always gets our home locals.

Thanks @litzdog911, it asked if I wanted Location Services enabled when I installed the app (which I allowed for all the time), but still showing the wrong locals.  I

What happens if you log into DirecTV Stream App on your iPhone/iPad?

Apple TV generally has accurate location info.  How it works is that Apple periodically correlates the Apple TV with the location of nearby iPhones (that do have GPS).  I've read that this uses Bonjour but I don't know if that is true.  What it does mean is if an Apple TV is in a location that never has iPhones come close enough (where I'd guess "close enough" means within WiFi range) then it won't be able to determine a location, and it probably falls back to the same inaccurate means as other devices (geolocation, etc.).
