Keep having to change password

At various times I’ll get logged out of my DirectTV, AT&T, or Yahoo account. I’ll try to log in but it says “The limit for unsuccessful sign-in attempts has been reached. Go online and reset your ID/ Password to restore access. Care code: 205.2”. But that was the first time I tried to log in. So I go online and change my password to the exact same thing that it was and it accepts it. Then I can log in. However I then get logged out of all my tvs and my email and I have to log in. Most of the time it accepts it but sometimes it doesn’t and I have to tell it I forgot my password when I really haven’t, starting the whole process over. Why is this happening and what can I do to stop it?

Hello. This error code appears for security purposes when you try to sign in unsuccessfully too many times. Please wait until the 24 hours have passed and try to reset your password here https://www.directv.com/support/satellite/article/KM1441011 . If the login issue persists after resetting the password, please update the contact email for your user ID https://www.directv.com/support/satellite/article/KM1134008 - William, DIRECTV Community Specialist

I will do that but I didn’t try to log in too many times. I did it once and I get this message.

My god I’m so glad to hear others have this problem.  It’s mind blowing but also pathetically infuriating. I can’t watch the ball game because directv is the only provider that can’t stabilize its log in process.  I try to sign in ONCE with the absolutely correct password and I’m told I’ve used up my tries.  It happens about 33% of the time.  So many evenings have been ruined when we try to watch the ballgame that we specifically got directv for. Can’t sign in because my password is incorrect. When I do call I get a bunch of BS about security policies. I’m sure hackers have pulled my info from Directv ages ago.  Directv is run by octogenarians.
