I can not recover my logon ID using my account number
I am on the DTV Stream account page. I cut and paste my account number into the recover your logon ID. DTV Stream responds "Account not found". Really.

How long ago did u sign up? New ones take a little time to get completed. Your login ID is your email address.

I have been a member for about two months. I can log on to Direct TV Stream using my login ID (my email address). Since I can't use Direct TV as my provider to log on to ESPN, ABC, etc. because the Direct TV Stream logon screen is porked. I thought I would just check that I had my logon ID correct. It certainly was eye-opening that Direct TV Stream can't find my logon ID using my account #.

@Detuch254 I would love to continue in my original thread but my thread seems to close by itself.
I have turned off the pop-up blocker in Silk. Where else is an ad blocker?

Best to keep your discussion in one thread rather start multiple posts.

Yes, that is true @litzdog911. Why are my threads closed without my input? Moderator?

I closed the extra ones because as stated by litzdog911 there’s no reason for multiple threads. We can answer your questions HERE. As this is a public forum making multiple posts clogs it up and makes it harder to communicate with you (whereas one thread houses the entire conversation).

OK. Well, I guess I would have thought you might wait for confirmation that the problem was solved. Might you help me understand why the two original threads about not being able to recover my login ID and not being able to logon on to the provider page were the same subject so I don't make that mistake again?
I still am not able to login using DStream as the provider for a wide variety of apps (ESPN, ABC, etc.) and I still can not recover my login ID using my account #.

They are two issues tied together. Since you can’t recover your login ID, you won’t be able to log onto anything. This is a public forum and we are customers like you so we can’t resolve any account specific issues. If calling DIRECTV STREAM and saying ‘sign-in help’ to the agent doesn’t fix the issue, you can try changing the password on another device.

OK. Thanks. I think you were on the right track with the comment about pop-ups. I have disabled pop-up blocking in Silk (Fire TV's browser) but my real issue, which only occurs on my Fire TVs (all three of them) is I can not attempt to log in to DTV Stream as my provider for other apps. I can do all of these things using my login ID on other devices (like PC and phone) so I know I have the correct ID and password. At the login screen, I never can get the drop down to drop down:)!

You should be able to sign into apps for any app from a computer. Which app on your firestick is having you sign in and confirm your provider within the app? Should be a computer option.

For example, ESPN and ABC require one to sign in with a TV provider. Selecting DirecTV Stream from the list of providers takes one to a web page to log in to DirecTV Stream. The is no option to log in on a computer. The web page, unsurprisingly, is signin.att.com. It has one's user ID, my email address in this case, connected to a drop-down menu. On my FireTV the drop-down doesn't work. On my computer, I can log in to my provider for ESPN or ABC but the login does not carry over to FireTV, as login to each individual streaming device is required separately.

I've never seen a firestick app bring up a sign in with provider within the app with a webpage. Must be a new feature with some apps-- and a glitch happening. Also, the signon.att.com address is correct to login with provider. That's the address I get as well and it works when using Dtv Stream credentials.

Ah yes, I know that one...It is not a bug, it's a feature. It is something odd with Xfinity and Fire TV as it doesn't happen with Centurylink DSL and Fire TV. I will try to find a workaround. Thanks for all the help and suggestions. I appreciate your efforts on the forum.

Tried the ESPN app on my Tivo Stream 4k android dongle. ESPN app doesn't do the webpage popup on that device. Has the ESPN app worked for you before on your firestick? If so, have you thought about sideloading a previous version of the ESPN app until there is a fix? Apkmirror has previous versions.
