How do I keep my local channels when out of town

What device will you be using to watch local channels while out of town? It all depends on whether the device has a GPS feature to determine its location. 

Local channels are based on your billing zip code and the location of the device. If you are out of your home based locals you  will receive only the traveling locals.

I was using my iPad and turned off location services. My guide now shows my local channels but it won’t allow me to watch without turning it back on. I want to watch my mom so channels not the local channels of where I am 

You'll need a streaming device without "location services", like a Roku or FireStick.
