Horrible

Direct streaming is horrible. The customer service person on the phone was very polite and understanding. However this company makes it extremely hard to cancel first of all and then I was told it was a 14 day cancellation policy not 5, then they changed that statement and refused a refund. I will never use direct again. Hoid luck to the people who have it.

When you signed up I guess you thought that you had 14 days for your free trial before you had to cancel.  But the last I knew the free trial was only for 5 days.  You should have known how long the free trial was for by the date they were going to begin billing you on because I know that they give you that date when you are putting in your billing information you would have been given the date that billing would begin on and you would have had to cancel before the date that you would be billed on.  Once they charge you for the service they will not refund your money because they have already given you access to their service for the time period that you paid for and agreed to when signing up.   So if you misunderstood how long your free trial was for that was on you, not Directv Streaming.

WSJ pulled that crap saying that I had to call to cancel.  I reported them to the state AG and they got fined.  Some states have laws that you can't require a person to call to cancel when something was ordered online.  Check with your state AG's office.

Still, what is the big deal about calling? Either way, you should always verify that your subscription is cancelled. Just login in to your account and verify that it is indeed cancelled.
