Getting Credit card accepted to start DirectTV Streaming

Friends, I can't for the life of me get DirectTV, whether online or on the phone, to accept my credit cards.  There are no card stops or fraud issues, and my credit card companies confirm that they've accepted the test charges that ATT made.  However, every time online I get an error message, and when I work with someone on the phone, they have the same issue when they get my card info.

Anyone have this experience, aand if you did...what was the magic to fix this?

Are they regular credit cards or prepaid cards? I think they also take paypal.

Have you tried using PayPal as your payment type? Using PayPal allows you to bypass the CC authorization issues.

I'm a bit confused by this.  The charge shouldn't be from AT&T - it should be from DirecTV (these are separate companies now).

Also, is the card an actual credit card or a debit card with a Visa or MasterCard logo on it?  Back when it was AT&T, they didn't accept the logo'ed debit cards, just credit cards.  I believe people with only debit cards had to tie them to a PayPal account and use that to subscribe.  From what I see on DirecTV Stream's payment info page, I believe this is still true.

Thanks for all the thoughts, friends.  I'm suspecting after a conversation with a customer service person last night that the issue is somehow our condo address and some type of restriction or hold placed on it because of other ISPs.  Why, I don't yet know.

Yes the label on the credit card charge is DirectTV.   These are standard credit cards, large credit limit, no fraud holds, VISA and MC.  ATT is still DirectTv's parent, and when I log into the account I created, it's an ATT page .  I don't think the cards are the true issue.  That said, I have not tried Paypal because it wasn't offered or mentioned online, but will.  If THAT fails, must be something else.

I am having the exact problem you are having.  It's very frustrating.  I still have not figured out a solution.  I've called and you're right, they're too incompetent to know how to resolve.
