Found out that i am being charged for my device on an installment basis

I just found out that the directtv Stream device is being billed to me on a 24 month long term. They are charging me $5/month and apparently I have to pay off the entire $120. before I can cancel my service! I was under the impression that I was just renting the box and would send it back to you when I cancelled your service. Now I am told that I have to pay for the box and will now own the useless thing. Ready for the dump?! Ridiculous.

Yes, that's the policy. $120 up front, or $5/mo for 24 months.

This is clear on the Directv Stream website when you order service and equipment. People are lazy don't read then gripe about something that's their fault.
