Early Cancellation Invoice

Why cannot I get a copy of my early cancellation invoice. I was on auto pay and was told this should appear after 28 days after cancellation however it is not there.  I have called multiple times. I called again last night and was told I would get a call back after 5-15 minutes as they were checking with a supervisor.  No call back. This seems illegal and a violation of my consumer rights. Why would I not see what I was charged for early cancellation. Why is this not online and why can I not get a copy.

There is no early cancellation charge for DirecTV Stream (the service). DirecTV Stream is a month-to-month subscription. DirecTV Via Internet (the service) has a 2-year contract and there is a cancellation charge if you cancel prior to the end of your contract.

I was charged $432 for early termination of directv stream.  If you have documentation for this please send to me.

You were charged for DirecTV Via Internet which has 2-year contract and early cancellation fees. DirecTV Stream has no contract or fees.

DirecTV Via Internet is not DirecTV Stream. They are 2 different subscription services.

I was told that I had Directv Stream.  Either way, I am not able to receive or find a copy of my early termination fee billing online.  I believe this is a violation of my consumer rights.  I had an unlawful withdrawal from my bank account with no invoice.  I have called multiple times.  Ridiculous.

If you have a contract then you are a DirecTV Via Internet subscriber. The website outlines the details of your subscription.

You can find the Private Message/Direct Message (PM/DM) icon (text/speech bubble) on the upper right portion of the page between the notification icon (bell) and directv.com. Make sure you're logged in to your account. Jerald, DIRECTV Community Specialist

Im not providing my account information to a stranger.  If you could kindly tell me who to speak with at directv to get a copy of my billing statement, it would be greatly appreciated.

The DM/PM from someone in Community Support, such as from Jerald, is official contact with DirecTV as they are the official forum support team. And they are no more a stranger than someone you speak with over the phone.

Those with the "employee" tag are verified but are posting on their personal time (off-the-clock) so no personal info should be shared via DM. With the "ACE" tag, we are other customers but have been acknowledged for providing a lot of accurate help so are simply marked as a reliable source of information and perspective, but again do not share sensitive info with us.

Naturally the threads in the forum are public view, so even when discussing with official support only share account sensitive info through the DM with them as nobody else can see those.

As for $432, that sounds more than simply ECF. The ECF has been valued as $20 for each month remaining of a 24 month agreement. Perhaps ECF with tax if you only recently started in the last couple of months.

But ECF only applies to DirecTV (the traditional satellite service), DirecTV via Internet (similar billing model to DirecTV and they provide you the equipment), but not DIRECTV STREAM which is a bring your own device (BYOD) model where you just use Roku, Firestick, or even purchase a DirecTV streaming box through an authorized 3rd party retailer (instead of from DirecTV itself).

@Ludwick577   "Someone" has already paid the early termination fee.  "Someone" just wants a copy of the invoice/billing. If you don't have something helpful to say, maybe just keep your disrespectful comments to yourself. Thank you!

@Juniper DIRECTV STREAM which is a bring your own device (BYOD) model where you just use Roku, Firestick, or even purchase a DirecTV streaming box through an authorized 3rd party retailer (instead of from DirecTV itself).

This is what I have and I was charged the ECM. I did have some type of connector for one TV where I could not get the DIRECTV app.   I am not trying to get out of it, I would just like to see the invoice. It doesn't show up on my online account and CS says they cannot provide me with an invoice; although, if I was not set up on automated draft, I would have definitely received an invoice.

Your billing invoice is available online. Just login to your account and go to "Billing and Payment". All charges are listed.
