DirecTV Streaming 'BYOD' pausing service and 'locals'?

I understand that if I subscribe to DTVS 'BYOD' that I can pause my subscription. Is this correct and would you explain? This interests me maybe for the way I will use the service. How long can I pause it for at a time? Is there a 'FEE' for pausing? Do I retain all of my DVR features and lists?

If I carry my BYOD to say my upcountry summer location will I receive my billing Zip Code 'locals' or the 'locals' for that Zip Code? If I wanted to carry a separate device to that location and just leave it how does my subscription treat that device?

Not sure about the pausing of the service. Tre DirecTV Stream service has no pause. You just cancel and then re-subscribe. I expect DVR content would be lost since you cancel.

As for locals, depends on your device. If the device has GPS or location services then you will receive the traveling locals, else the default is based on your billing information. But it is not always perfect.

The Voluntary Pause option is offered for some DIRECTV streaming services but not for DIRECTV BYOD. The selection of channels you receive will differ based on the location from which you access the service. If you use multiple devices in different locations, the local channels available will be determined by the billing address on file. Ariane, DIRECTV Community Specialist

But I can take months off at a time and I would just lose the stored DVR or with the same user and password would I recover them?

No 'pause' for BYOD? Since there's only one other option 'contract' explain how that might work. Can a user do 'contract' with their own device and save all of the 'receiver fees'? That might suite me if I could 'pause' and opt out of the 'receiver fees'.

Can you DM(direct message) me to discuss this before I actually commit?

Well the recorded content will be deleted after 9 months anyway. All recorded content is stored in the cloud.
