Why would you need to suspend you can take your service with you and watch it from anywhere as long as you have a tv and internet and a device to stream it from. As for pausing your service, there is no way to my knowledge to do so. You could always cancel if you needed to and then just sign back into your account and turn it back on when you get home.

Unless you're traveling outside the USA, there's no need to suspend your DirecTV Stream service. Portable devices, like Roku, FireStick, iPad, etc, can be used anywhere you have decent internet.

Hi ...I have a unique situation I think. I have a motorhome and spend winters in AZ. I do not have cable access at the motorhome site in AZ. So I have ATT telephone and internet access through my ATT phones. I am a retired non techie. So can I use the streaming service through my phones which would be acting as a hotspot?
Can I watch TV and not run out of Gigs? We use Gigs for our internet access on our laptops and iPads. We have 100 Gigs combined per month on our phones. Will the streaming service through Direct give me unlimited gigs? I have Direct Satellite service on the motorhome via the dish on the roof.

The service can be viewed anywhere you have access to the internet. Of course the service uses data, so depending on your plan, limited access may be the norm. 100 gig streaming want last very long. I also travel in a RV and use the service everywhere. Try to find free Wi-Fi sites if possible. Streaming is very data dependent.

Wait, do you have DIRECTV STREAM or DIRECTV satellite? You mention a satellite on the roof of your RV so I wanted to ensure you had DIRECTV STREAM.

right I was just wondering which service they have since they mention a dish on the roof. It would probably be easier to just bring a receiver (being they have DIRECTV satellite as well as the dish on the roof) as that would eliminate the need for hotspot use.

Agree, if they actually do have the satellite for DirecTV satellite service.

OK....yes, I have a direct tv satellite service on the RV motorhome....but at the condo...I cannot have a dish on the condo...so I have to have a cable hook up for internet and for tv. I have a hot spot with ATT for on the road internet and use the dish for TV when we are in AZ for the winter. My issue is with the condo when we are home for the 7 months.
