Code 8013

I signed up for DIRECTV STREAM tonight but I’m unable to access the app on all my devices. I get an error code 8013 with a message Subscription Required. Please subscribe to DIRECTV STREAM. Has anyone encountered this problem before?

Previous satellite subscriber? Using the same credentials? You need to use a different email/password then with satellite. Known issue with the service. Many posts on the issue.

No I never had satellite but I did have DIRECTV NOW which then became AT&T TV before. This is the same AT&T account I had forever.

Yep. When I log in, it does show my package and what’s funny is that I can log in to network apps using my DIRECTV STREAM credentials.

No it doesn’t. It errors out.

Are you using the same email u had with Dtv Now? How long has it been since you signed up? Wonder if it's just a glitch and you will get service in a few hrs.

Yes I was using the same email. I just decided to use another email. I did see this was a solution seeing others with the same issue.

Being a previous DirecTV Now should not have been an issue. You are always a subscriber just your status is cancel. Should be able to re-activate or subscribe again. If not then I would contact support and explain your situation.

Same exact issue here (code = 8013).  I spoke to a customer service agent and was told that this is likely due to a "nationwide blackout" of some sort that they are currently experiencing, which should be cleared up within the next 24-72 hours.  I honestly don't believe that response.  My impression was that they simply didn't have an answer to the problem, but we'll see.  Needless to say, it's a terrible look for a new customer.

You are correct. Guess all those 1000's of subscribers actively watching were not aware of the nation wide black-out. Do they really think we are that nieve. They do!

"Nationwide blackout" is just a scripted response from someone who can't explain ...or fix...your issue.

Just make sure on your Apple TV, the provider is correct and your password.

I switched from a provider and in my Apple TV, it still had the old information and was causing the error code.
