Changing home area

Is there a way to change my home area so that it’s different from the billing zipcode? I share a credit card with my mother & the associated address for the card is her house in a completely different state even though I’m the DirectTV Stream subscriber. As a result, there are channels I can’t record because they’re local to where I live & use DirectTV Stream, not the billing zipcode. I’ve tried going into settings, but can’t find an option to change the home area.

If it makes a difference, my DirectTV Stream log-in is linked to my AT&T account, not separate.

Your best bet would be to contact the bank that you and your mother share and ask them to change the zip code associated with your card.  I share a bank account with my mother and we have 2 different zip codes I use my zip code for my bank card and she uses her zip for the card connected to her account.  If the bank is not able to do that then you would have to get a different card so you can use your zip code because you address and billing zip code will need to be the same to set your home location so that you can record locals. Hope this helps.
