CBS Dispute
Are we getting a discount due to losing many CBS channels? This is absolutely RIDICULOUS. My plan clearly states that those channels are included, therefore, I AM PAYING FOR THEM. GIVE US A DISCOUNT AT THE VERY LEAST!!!! Yet another reason I HATE AT&T AND DIRECTV! Get it together!

AT&T and DIRECTV STREAM are two separate companies, one and the other aren’t associated with DIRECTV STREAM anymore.
Also, this is a public forum full of customers just like you.
DIRECTV STREAM will NOT give you a discount for a singular channel out of 300. Actually, this CBS dispute is more or less because of greedy companies and not DIRECTV STREAM, so you
blaming the tv provider for the issue isn’t exactly true. All live TV companies deal with disputes.

There is no guarantee any channel will always be there. All TV providers have a clause that the channels/programming may change at any time. As such no discount is required.
As CBS has the broadcast rights, only they can remove the feed. Too often with local channels, the carriage agreement comes up and the local holds out for more money. The more the TV provider has to pay affects how high our bills increase.
In the meantime you could plug in a regular antenna to get the free broadcast while negotiations finish. Might even get additional channels in range.
My perspective on this is why should TV providers and us customers pay more for channels that are free over the regular airways. DirecTV/DIRECTV STREAM negotiate for better rates, but CBS wants more. The alternative is DirecTV/DIRECTV STREAM just cave and raise our bills even more. Perhaps you should "get it together" and hold accountability to CBS. Negotiations are a two-way street, but CBS's side would be raising our bills.
