Cancel subscription link requests a phone call M-F
I tried to cancel my subscription prior to the auto charge on Saturday, March 26, but when I clicked the cancel subscription link, I received a popup requesting I call M-F. When I called on Monday, they told me I was too late and was already charged for another month of services.

Thanks Juniper!
In the faded background of my screen shot, there's a date and time that indicates when my next cycle starts (March 26 7 p.m. ET). When I attempted to cancel my subscription, it was March 26 ~3 p.m. ET so I would have canceled prior to starting my next cycle.
Unfortunately, a user can't cancel online and when I clicked the link to do so, I was presented with the popup in the foreground, which indicates I would need to call M-F. As it turns out, there are other phone numbers open 24/7 that could have handled canceling my subscription, but that's not what the popup says.

I get aggravated by such poor access to so called customer service. I generally try all the avenues of ANY business. When that fails, I contact my city government and then congressman for my district. If can't provide the service provided, I ask the only help that seems to have any influence. I rarely do so but have with cc companies to a good resolution for both parties. Not vindictive , seems no other avenues if can't get such "customer service" as was stated

CONTACT YOUR CONGRESSMAN OR CONGRESSWOAMN AND ASK FOR THEM TO GET INVOLVED AND HELP. IT IS RIDICULOUS THAT IT IS SO HARD TO GET THRU ON THE PHONE. MOST PLACES WITH DECENT INTEGRITY HAVE ONLINE SERVICES THAT DO SAVE THEM MONEY RATHER THAN 'CONVENIENTLY' MAKE IT SO MISS THE DEADLINE. IT IS ELECTION YEAR.

@DIRECTVhelp The information you provided the user was for DirecTV not DirecTV Stream. You do know the difference, correct?

Does online or phone call cancellation take effect right away? I know others who have cancelled said their service goes for a week or so after, unless they just agreed on a date. Just wondering!

We want to confirm that right after you cancelled the account, it is automatically scheduled to cut off at the end of your billing cycle.
Please meet us on a DM in case you want us to review your account details and options. Thank you.
