Can you have both a satellite and streaming account?

I have had Directv Genie in my RV for years as a full timer with the East coast feed. I would like to move to streaming and give up all the boxes, but based on some of the complaints, I do not want to lose any functionality that I now have and run from a Roku device.

Is that even possible?

Yes. I had both for a few months while I evaluated DirecTV Stream. Just be sure to use different email/password for your second account.

Note, however, that can't "give up" your satellite equipment. You would need to keep the satellite account active. But you can temporarily suspend the account for a small monthly fee.

I don't expect it to take long to evaluate so a month of overlap is not a burden. Thanks for the response!

We've had great experience with DirecTV Stream and also RV with a Roku Streambar (soundbar). You'll just need good internet. We use Starlink when our T-Mobile hotspot isn't up to the task.
