Apple TV sign in

The Directv app on my AppleTV updated and afterward it required me to sign in. Every time I try it tells me that I'm not using the ID is used to set up this service. How can I find what it thinks is the right ID or how can I establish a new one?

I am not exactly sure what single sign in option is, but I went to the TV provider location and signed out. I then restarted ATV and chose DTV Stream as my provider. I was then able to sign in -- using the UserID and password rejected previously. All of our "favorites" have been unmarked but at least we have TV again.

Thanks for the help.

What happens if you try to sign in on a PC or other device?

I assume you have DirecTV Stream service, not DirecTV Satellite? Right?

Stream. I only watch on my AppleTV. I don't have Directv installed on other devices.

I can log onto my account via a web browser, and I would typically make those the same login info.

I'll move your post to the DirecTV Stream Forum.

Care Codes are DirecTV satellite error codes, not DirecTV Stream. Were you a previous satellite subscriber? Using the same account credentials for the DirecTV Stream service?

OK! Anyway, the care code represents a DirecTV satellite error, not a DirecTV Stream error. Do you use the single sign in option where it stores the provider? Try deleting it, restart the device, then add it back.
