App Not Working For Streaming

I switched from Satellite to Streaming the end of December.  Service was fine for a month and a half.  Now the Direct App  will not work at all.  I have been on the phone for the past 4 days seeking support to get things resolved and still no success.  I have uninstalled, reinstalled the app, and firestick as well as changed passwords.  I have a Samsung TV, one streaming box and the TV without the streaming box will not work.  The last phone support from Direct suggest I use a Roku and not Amazon firestick. Is there really a difference to be able to get the app ?  When I download the app from the google store is says direct streaming app but it's the same as the Direct TV and then you select Streaming. I sign in to the streaming and then I get this error code of 30001-008 that tells me my account might be discounnected call 800 531 5000   Code 002 Why ?  I have an active account.

 

Help !!!  It's March Madness time !!!!  I need this app to work.  Do I really have to get another streaming box ?

Are you using the same credentials for DirecTV Stream as you had with DirecTV satellite? If so, you need to use a different email. Known issues and has been posted all over the forums.

@schestnut I agree w @bcbsncjlj comment above - there have been multiple reports of account issues if you have satellite and STREAM accounts. Make sure you're using the right one, and if possible use different email addresses to differentiate them.
