Account assistance request
Why won't DirecTV Help pay attention to their social media messages? Corresponding with them (and AT&T) is so inconsistent. One day I'll contact them and they'll respond immediately. Other times (like recently), they just ignore me and never respond. I get that they have thousands of customers, but I'd like assistance and it's hit or miss calling their support number because their systems decide to send me to some department that is completely irrelavent to my support request just becuase there is a high volume of calls.

Do you have a problem? Why not state your issue instead of just ranting. Maybe someone can offer help here if you would state your problem.

My original intent for trying to reach DirecTV support was to discuss a picture quality issue on a channel. The channel was literally fine and then when a movie started, there was constant pixelation every few minutes. I did my own troubleshooting and nothing fixed the problem. The pixelation cleared up convenietnly after the movie was over.
As I mentioned previously, I called into support and reached a random department because their phone system decided to send me there because of a high volume. The call was transferred and disconnected. I called back and somehow reached the correct department on the first try. Not sure that really anything was done in terms of troubleshooting but now a new stream box is coming (maybe).
I say maybe because only with DirecTV do I have a problem with them being able to find my account. I give them my full address and phone number. They obviously have the account details pulled up because they say the city I gave them doesn't match what they have in their system.
After a couple of minutes, I figure out what city to give them. The issue I have now is that I would like to get my account corrected with the proper city unless DirecTV needs to use a metropolitan city instead of the exact city I live in. I just want to make it easier for future calls (whether it be for support or for upgrades) to locate my account.

Are you referring to the satellite service DirecTV or the internet streaming service DirecTV stream? In either case, why can you not just login to your account and make the change yourself?

I'm referring to DirecTV Stream. I've logged into the app but there's nothing in the app that has my address. Additionally, to further complicate matters, support periodically thinks my account is cancelled and so it takes some effort to get that worked out.
Surely there's a way to get in contact with someone at DirecTV.

Go to https://www.directv.com/accounts/stream/overview for your account info or the gear icon in the top right corner of the app.

I was having a little problem with picture quality. I have a Directv box for streaming. I went into the settings on the box and changed the output to 1080i which is native for most of the broadcasters. I know ESPN and Fox are 720 so I just picked the majority. Picture quality as a whole looks good with my Samsung doing the upconversion to 4k native. Don't know if this will help you but there you go.
