205.4 error code - AGAIN!

I am currently watching DirecTV Stream on my Samsung TV downstairs but when I try to login on my desktop or the TV upstairs I get Code 205.4.  When I confirm the username and reset the password it says that I don't have TV service associated with this account.  I AM WATCHING TV ON A DIFFERENT DEVICE ON THIS ACCOUNT.  Beyond frustrated and it sounds like DirecTV hasn't given a crap about this issue for years.  None of the workarounds on the forum work. I have PTSD from DirecTV "customer support" when we signed up and dread calling.

I was under the impression that is a DirecTV satellite code, not a Stream code.  Do/did you have a satellite subscription?  If so, there is a history of their account management system getting confused by that (even if the satellite subscription is cancelled) and trying to authenticate to the (now inactive) account.  If this is what you are running into, the (unfortunately less than ideal) "fix" that is recommented is to resubscribe to Stream using different credentials (that don't match any older AT&T/DirecTV account you might have had).
